“She is clothed with strength and dignity and she laughs at the days to come.” Proverbs 31:25
Women are the heart of the home. They set the mood.
The mother often (not always) sets the tone for the home. If we are yelling and screaming, then most likely it won't be a peaceful home. When we are calm and laugh at what comes along, it helps the household laugh also.
Moms, we need to remember that and know we can make the best of situations. God made us creative with a good mind. Situations come up day and night quickly. If we react and fly off the handle, it doesn't help at all. In fact, it just makes everyone frantic.
As we practice (and it does take practice) at setting a joyful tone, we become masters at making the best of the situation.
Let me tell you about a particular plight that happened at our house years ago. We had a plague of little bugs on the ranch where I live. They covered the walls outside our house and a whole wall inside my bedroom. The white wall was completely black with little bugs. I was horrified but tried to not show it. I knew I had to make the best of it.
I told the kids we were going on an adventure. We each packed backpacks with clothes and we joyfully walked over to another house on the Ranch to sleep. This worked for about a couple days—until the bugs came into that house! Our house was still covered, so we continued on a new adventure hiking down to the radio station building on the Ranch. As we hiked we sang songs and talked about how fun this was.
It really wasn't fun (it was hard) but because I said it was fun, they were good with it. Eventually the bugs cleared up, and we ended our adventure back at home. Whew!
You’ve all done this type of thing many times with broken pipes, toilets, flooding, etc.
You are the heart of the home! What mood do you set?
God bless you!

I would have wanted to burn the house down. 😂
